Preparations for the Sarajevo Business Forum 2017 begin
"The key to success of a country's economy lies in the strong cooperation between the public and the private sector. Sarajevo Business Forum is a business networking and investment platform which facilitates the promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the wider region. SBF is a framework for direct foreign investments. Through the SBF we are trying to intermediate between the state and the private sector – we bring together in one place both the project owners and the business individuals from the region – the private sector cooperation – as well as the private and state funds – the cooperation with the state sector and the economic diplomacy. The state sector needs to provide the framework for successful functioning of the private sector by creating the positive business environment: one stop shops, free trade deals, tax reliefs and visa regime. Attracting the direct foreign investments is possible by passing the laws favorable to the private sector. For example, laws in the United Arab Emirates are adjusted according to the business needs every five years", said Amer Bukvić, director of the BBI bank, during the presentation of potentials of the Sarajevo Business Forum.
Furthermore, the BBI VIP business club in partnership with the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Chamber of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton today organized the first workshop in project preparation for Sarajevo Business Forum 2017.
Representatives of the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Zenica Chamber of Economy underlined the importance of this event which is again being held under the sponsorship of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the entire economic area of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Experts from the BBI and BBI VIP business club then in lively and direct discussion informed participants about their past experiences and the benefits of active participation in the Sarajevo Business Forum.
"SBF is focused on direct business meetings between local businessmen and potential investors. Last year, during the Forum's run only, more than 250 of these meetings were organized, and the BBI bank formed the special team of economic experts who were available to local businessmen during the negotiations", said the BBI bank representative during the workshop.
During the workshop businessmen were also presented with concrete instructions and tips on how to register projects for the SBF 2017, and how to successfully establish, build and realize the cooperation through foreign investments.
