SBF: Agreement finalized on the construction of wind farm in Livno

New large investment project in BiH

The construction of the wind farm in Livno is a new large investment project, the implementation of which was agreed today as part of the program of the first day of the 9th Sarajevo Business Forum. The Memorandum of cooperation was signed by Yuksel Guler, CEO of the Turkish company Enprode and Pero Vrdoljak, representative of Imres Smart company from BiH.

"This energy project will be located in Livno, near the border with Croatia. The first phase is a 100 MW wind farm, while the second phase includes 100 MW hydroelectric power plant. As these have to do with renewable energy we believe that they will contribute to resolving the uncertainty of having liberal energy prices, " Guler said and added "We will connect the energy system of Bosnia and Herzegovina with this project. Its strategic mission is to integrate BiH into the EU interconnection system, while its general goal is to provide services to major energy actors in the EU. "

Denis Zvizdic, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Mehmet Simsek, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, and Haldun Koc, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to BiH attended the signing ceremony.
