Ambassador Subasic Brings Business Delegation from India to SBF 2017
In BiH currently resides an affluent business delegation from Mumbai, the largest financial center in India. The visit is the result of a formal invitation by Dr. Sabit Subasic, the Ambassador of BiH in India. The delegation is made up highly ranked businessmen, directors and CEOs who have production facilities in many countries around the world.
After meeting with the businessmen and organizers of the Forum at BBI Bank Subasic announced, “This is only the vanguard of the large Indian business delegation that will participate in this year’s Forum which will be held on the 22 nd and 23 rd of May in the Capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The delegation includes heads of state funds and private companies that are interested in building cooperation in the field of construction, food production, energy, tourism, IT, as well as the pharmaceutical and education industry. This is the first major business delegation from India to visit Bosnia and I am certain they have serious professional ambitions in BiH and the region. “
Large Indian corporations have shown great interest in importing certain goods into BiH. There has also been considerable interest in tourism development as BiH and the region is considered an attractive vacation destination in India.
“It is expected that India will become one of the three leading economic powers in the world in the near future as it is currently the sixth largest global economy. What is the secret to India’s success? Youth. There is a large number of young, innovative, creative and naturally intelligent people that are readily willing to work hard and achieve success” said Subasic. He added that he was pleased that the businessmen’s first impressions were favourable upon meeting with officials and representatives of businesses in BiH.
An Indian delegation from the State of Maharashtra and the city of Mumbai, led by Suhas Mantrjiem, the Honorary Consul of the Office of the Honorary Consulate of BiH for Maharashtra and Goa, as well as the president of the Indo-Bosnian business forum, Sudhir Navalkh, make up 18 businessmen from the region who visited our country with the intent of exploring the possibilities of business cooperation with BiH.
Head of BBI’s VIP Business Club, Azra Colic stated that “we emphasized our advantages as a region in Southeastern Europe. We presented the potential in natural resources as well as development opportunities in the field of real estate, energy, agriculture, food, produce and tourism.”
Patronage of the Sarajevo Business Forum 2017 is the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the support of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chambers of Commerce as well as local and foreign companies.
